The motive for creating the drawing was a story from the worldwide famous book of ancient Indian fairy tales and parables Panchatantra. King Amara-shakti had three lazy stupid sons. To awaken their minds, the sage Vishnu Sharma was invited to the court, who wrote 5 books of Panchatantra, to teach the princes the science of proper behavior.

The first and second books «The Separation of Friends» and 'The Gaining of Friends' tell about the lord of forest animals - the lion of Pingalaka.

Heroes in Panchatantra are animals and birds whose morals are a copy of human beings.

The work uses the illustration of 'The Lion and the Lioness' from the ancient oriental manuscript «Manaf al-Hayawan» («About the Benefits of Animals») stored in the Morgan Library in New York.

On a silver amphora from Chortomlyk, the 4 century BC, in the image of a winged horse depicted the divine patron of royal Scythians Tagimasad.

Tagimasad embodied the unbridled power of the water principles as a generating element, and also was connected to the worship to the Sun. In the view of the ancient Iranians, the sun as a horse gallops through the vault of heaven, sometimes making stops on the way. Identification of a horse and a bird in mythological sources generated the collective image of a winged horse.

No hunter could catch this fabulous creature. Just approaching it would send the horse spreading its wings and flying to the sky.

The inspiration for this drawing came during the study of the fragments of the world's oldest Pazyryk carpet and fabrics found in the frozen mounds of the Altai Mountains.

On one of the felt saddle pads stored in the Hermitage which covered the fighting horses of the Scythians and Sacas, depicted a figure of a deer. The deer is portrayed with raised head and hind legs are bent.

The artist in her drawing depicted the deer surrounded by the Sun and the Moon to show the picture of the cyclic universe in which the whole process of creation and being is based on the dualism of good and evil, life and death, light and darkness.

Bright and motley ducks are together all the time for a reason: they choose a partner for their entire life.

As the ancient Chinese legend tells us, the nobleman, Mandarin, was strolling along the lake before leaving his wife, because the feelings for her have cooled down. Mandarin unwittingly admired the birds, they were moving synchronously and courted each other, combing feathers. This image helped to remember this man how many years ago the thrill and tenderness with which he treated his wife. Mandarin returned to the family and together with him the fidelity, passion and adoration has returned to their relationship. So ducks - mandarins became the symbols of love and harmony.

The art historian from the United States, Mayor A., unraveled the mystery of origins of the legend about ferocious griffins, guarding Scyths gold. The Scythians went to the Gobi desert for gold. Nowadays, this desert is worldwide famous due to the huge location of fossil bones of dinosaurs.

The path to gold was uneasy, the Scyths were frightened not by sandstorms and lack of water, but by unknown giant bones that was opening to their gaze in the sands. A huge claws, a skull, similar to an eagle, but much larger. So fear and fantasy, uniting, gave rise to a beast-bird, a winged lion with an eagle's head, called a griffin. The griffin keeps gold in its nest, but ruthlessly deals with those who try to steal jewellery.
